StarCraft Tabletop Miniatures Game: Archon Studio svela le miniature della Wave Two

1600 900

Commanders, the battle for the Koprulu Sector is entering a new phase!

Terran war machines roll into position. Ancient Protoss warriors make their return. The Zerg Swarm continues to evolve, adapting to every obstacle standing in its path.

The first wave of StarCraft®: Tabletop Miniatures Game established the foundations of the conflict, introducing players to three distinct factions, their core units, and their unique approaches to warfare. Now, the time has come to expand those armies and introduce entirely new tactical possibilities.

New units are joining the fight!

The Next Stage of the Conflict

This new wave is not only about adding more miniatures to your collection. Each release introduces a new battlefield role, a new strategic challenge, and new ways to build and command your army.

The upcoming units are designed to complement the currently available forces, allowing you to seamlessly add them to your roster without having to build an entirely new army. These reinforcements bring powerful abilities, specialised upgrades, new interactions, and fresh army-building decisions. They also force opponents to reconsider familiar strategies, making the existing meta shift, making it feel more vertical and dynamic.

A fortified position may suddenly become vulnerable to long-range bombardment. A seemingly unstoppable attack may break against an impenetrable barrier. A crucial support unit may disappear beneath the blade of an unseen assassin… Even the ground itself may become too dangerous to stand on.

Let’s take a closer look at each upcoming unit.

Terran – Siege Tank

1600 900

Few sounds in the Koprulu Sector are as recognisable (or as terrifying) as the heavy mechanical thud of a Siege Tank locking into position.

The Siege Tank brings overwhelming long-range firepower to Terran armies and represents a major milestone for StarCraft®: Tabletop Miniatures Game as the first large vehicle. Mounted on an imposing 150mm base, it imposes a commanding presence on the battlefield!

This model can be assembled in two ways, which directly communicates its combat properties. In Tank Mode, it serves as a heavily armoured frontline vehicle capable of advancing alongside the rest of the Terran army.

Once transformed into Siege Mode, it becomes a devastating artillery platform designed to punish tightly packed enemy formations and control enormous sections of the battlefield.

Its ability to coordinate attacks with friendly spotters means that enemy units may find themselves under fire even when they believe they are safely outside the tank’s normal range.

The Siege Tank does not need to pursue the enemy.

It forces the enemy to move.

Protoss – Immortal

1600 900

When overwhelming firepower threatens to break the Protoss battle line, the Immortals advance.

Constructed from the remains of grievously wounded Protoss veterans and encased within towering mechanical war suits, Immortals are mobile fortresses created to endure the most punishing attacks imaginable.

On the tabletop, the Immortal is a heavily armoured Size 3 walker mounted on a 100mm base. It is designed to withstand high-damage attacks, hold critical positions, and tear through heavily armoured enemy units with its twin Photon Disruptors.

The Immortal’s defensive abilities allow it to dramatically reduce incoming damage and survive attacks that would destroy almost any other unit.

This makes it an ideal frontline anchor for Protoss armies. Place it near an objective, support it with the right abilities, and your opponent may be forced to commit a significant portion of their army simply to remove it.

Its duty is unending—and so is its advance.

Protoss – Zeratul (Hero)

1600 900

The legendary Dark Prelate returns to the battlefield!

Zeratul is one of the most iconic characters in the StarCraft® universe, known for his role in shaping the fate of the Koprulu Sector, uncovering the existence of the Hybrids, guiding both Jim Raynor and Sarah Kerrigan, and ultimately sacrificing himself to save Artanis from Amon’s control. We’ve already introduced him to you before – as one of our Promo Miniatures, available during trade shows and other big events. This time, Zeratul can join your forces as a fully playable hero with his own set of rules.

On the table, he becomes a fast, elusive, and exceptionally dangerous hero designed to eliminate high-value targets.

1600 900

Rather than overpowering the enemy through brute force, he strikes precisely where he is needed. His ability to move through the shadows, evade ranged attacks, and deliver devastating melee strikes makes him a constant threat to enemy heroes, elite units, and vulnerable support elements.

Even when Zeratul is not attacking, his presence changes the battle. Opponents must tighten their formations, protect isolated units, and constantly consider where he may appear next. A single mistake in positioning may be all the Dark Prelate needs.

The blade in the shadows is ready.

Zerg – Ravager

1600 900

The Zerg Swarm never stops adapting.

When enemy fortifications and entrenched firing positions threaten to slow its advance, the Swarm evolves a solution. The Ravager, mutated from the Roach strain, serves as living artillery capable of launching corrosive projectiles over obstacles and directly into enemy formations.

On the tabletop, the Ravager introduces an entirely different form of battlefield control.

Its Corrosive Bile does not strike immediately. Instead, it marks an area of the battlefield and forces the opponent to react before the attack lands.

Do they abandon a valuable position and expose themselves to the rest of the Swarm? Do they remain in place and endure the incoming bombardment? Can they escape at all, or will Zerglings and other creatures lock them in combat before they have the chance?

1600 900
The Ravager creates these situations by combining area denial with the Zerg army’s natural ability to surround, pressure, and overwhelm its enemies.

Rather than relying purely on speed or weight of numbers, Zerg commanders will now be able to break defensive formations and control where the enemy can safely move.

Once the bile is in the air, the countdown has already begun!

New Battlefields and New Heights

1600 900

The armies aren’t the only thing changing.

This wave of new releases will also introduce a new terrain pack inspired by the legendary Lost Temple map, featuring elevated High Ground and Ramps.

This terrain element adds a new vertical dimension to StarCraft®: Tabletop Miniatures Game. Most units cannot simply move directly up a cliff and must use designated ramps to reach higher positions. This turns these access points into valuable strategic locations that can be defended, blocked, or contested.

1600 900
High Ground can provide powerful firing positions for ranged units, particularly when combined with abilities capable of transporting models to otherwise inaccessible locations.

A Siege Tank positioned on top of a cliff can dominate huge sections of the battlefield. Infantry units may be forced to fight for control of a narrow ramp. Mobile characters may use their abilities to bypass conventional routes entirely.

The result is a battlefield that feels even closer to the strategic landscapes of StarCraft®, where positioning, vision, terrain, and control of key routes can determine the outcome of an engagement.

Bringing Iconic Units to the Tabletop

Translating these units from the video games into StarCraft®: Tabletop Miniatures Game required more than just recreating their appearance. Each unit needed to feel immediately familiar through the way it behaves on the battlefield. At the same time, every miniature had to function as a practical gaming piece. Scale, durability, posing, battlefield visibility, and model detail all had to be carefully balanced.

Every miniature in this release has been designed with the same objective: to look unmistakably StarCraft® and to feel unmistakably StarCraft® when placed on the table.
