Pochi giorni fa, la community di Hardcore Classic è stata pesantemente scossa dai pg morti a causa di un pesante attacco DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service) avvenuto in data 24 marzo, che ha portato allo scioglimento della famosa gilda OnlyFangs.
Blizzard ha comunicato che si adopererà nel resuscitare tutti i personaggi morti durante l’attacco DDoS e nel riportare nei server Hardcore i personaggi già trasferiti nei normali server PvE.
Nota importante: se un simile evento dovesse verificarsi nuovamente, Blizzard raccomanda di non trasferire subito i personaggi morti nei normali server PvE, poiché il ritrasferimento dei personaggi della gilda OnlyFangs è stata una scelta una tantum. Gli sviluppatori hanno aggiunto che si impegneranno nel rafforzare i server Hardcore da possibili attacchi futuri.

We have begun resurrecting player-characters that were lost during recent distributed-denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks on our Hardcore realms. Our preliminary focus has been on characters that died during attacks on 24 March, and we are expanding the scope of our review to consider resurrections of characters lost during confirmed DDoS incidents after those dates.For dead characters that were transferred from Hardcore realms to Normal (PvE) realms, we have taken steps to return these characters to the Hardcore realms in the state they were in prior to being transferred, and we have flagged them to be playable as though they never died when you next log in.
- You must go to the character log-in screen on your Hardcore realm and log into the previously-deceased character to complete the process.
In the event of future character deaths due to DDoS attacks, we will only restore characters that remain on their Hardcore realm. Please note that in the future, should your character die due to a DDoS attack on a Hardcore realm, it cannot be restored if the character is subsequently transferred to a Normal (PvE) realm.
We are continuing to strengthen the resilience of WoW realms and the speed at which we respond to character deaths on Hardcore realms caused by DDoS attacks.
