Neanche il tempo di pubblicare le ultime speculazioni sul tema che arriva la prima conferma da alcuni rivenditori: il manuale di D&D dedicato a World of Warcraft è reale ed arriverà il 17 Novembre! Vediamo cosa è stato annunciato.
Il manuale base
Il manuale in copertina rigida da circa 300 pagine, conterrà:
- 13 classi di World of Warcraft, con 9 (EDIT: probabilmente 6) sottoclassi nuove o riviste e oltre 40 specializzazioni;
- 16 specie giocabili, dai classici Tauren, Troll, Draenei e Worgen alle novità come Dracthyr, Haranir, Meccagnomi e Vulpera;
- oltre 60 nuovi incantesimi e più di 25 oggetti magici, comprese cavalcature e compagni familiari ai veterani;
- 7 dungeon iconici ricostruiti per il tavolo, con oltre 50 mostri e 30 schede statistiche dedicate ai boss;
- un sistema di 23 fazioni con ricompense di reputazione, per dare profondità e longevità alle campagne su Azeroth.
In questo modo sarà possibile ricreare i propri personaggi o inventarsi qualcosa di completamente diverso, uscendo anche leggermente dai canoni di Warcraft grazie al resto delle possibilità offerte da D&D.
Il manuale costerà 59,90€, per ora in lingua inglese. Saranno disponibili anche due versioni “deluxe” del manuale base: l’alternative cover (59,90€), dedicata ai Murloc e tema “abissale”, e la Collector Slipcase Edition (100€), che invece fornisce una slipcase rigida impreziosita e a tema Orda/Alleanza. Sarà acquistabile anche il Dungeon Master’s Screen (24,90€), illustrato con panorami di Azeroth.
Icecrown Citadel Adventure Map Pack: la Rocca della Corona di Ghiaccio
Sarà inoltre disponibile un primo supplemento, l’Icecrown Citadel Adventure Map Pack (29,90€), che unisce gioco fisico e digitale per rivivere una delle incursioni più celebri di WoW.
- 5 mappe poster fronte-retro (formato 22″×30″), completamente illustrate e con griglia di gioco, che coprono 10 tra i piani e gli incontri più famosi della cittadella;
- 74 pedine in cartone su due fogli, per popolare ogni stanza — dai mostri comuni ai boss leggendari — senza miniature aggiuntive;
- un codice per l’avventura digitale su D&D Beyond, strutturata in 5 capitoli e 10 scontri contro i boss, che accompagna la compagnia dal livello 16 al 20, fino al Trono di Ghiaccio, con 16 nuovi oggetti magici (tra cui Gelidanima e Invincibile) da conquistare.
